What’s MemphisGives all about?
It’s about a group of friends from the tech community who want to give back and support our city. We all became acquainted through social media and want to use its power to do something good for Memphis.
How it works
We’ll have quarterly get-togethers at a local restaurant, bar or other venue. Nothing fancy, just an opportunity to mingle and maybe get to know a new face or two.
Admission will be a minimum $5 cash contribution, but we’ll take whatever you’d like to give. The money will be given to a local charity. Charities will be crowdsourced, so at the event we’ll ask you to submit ideas for our consideration. Only local organizations, please.
Who can come?
Just because we are a group of techies doesn’t mean you have to be. Anyone and everyone is invited — the more the merrier. Bring your friends. And their money.

- When: Tuesday, February 7, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Where: Cortona Contemporary Italian Cuisine, 948 South Cooper (Cooper-Young)
- How Much? Of course, the $5 (or more) donation and drinks and/or appetizers on your own. Cortona has graciously agreed to extend their Happy Hour pricing to 8:00 p.m. for us.
- Dress: Casual. Or whatever you wear to work.
